Montgomery County Soccer: Brand, Web, Social and Game Day

Objective + Results

Montgomery County’s boys’ soccer program was founded in 1978 by a student teacher from Michigan attending Morehead State University. It played its first varsity season in 1983 and immediately became a successful high school soccer program, playing in state championships and final fours early on against big city schools. The founding coach kept great records on paper.

In the summer of 2026, the studio volunteered time to digitize those records and built an AI-driven website, CMS and console tracker that allow the volunteers and coaches who run the program to easily track, post and run a program digitally with as little effort as possible. Complete with AI-created posters built from the Figma design direction the studio created for social media in years past, the program can now be run from a phone by a busy parent or student.

Low-effort tasks bring valuable long-term rewards for MoCo and encourage upkeep of the program’s data long term, as a single source of truth online.

Brand System

A lowercase, tightly set voice in ITC Avant Garde Gothic, jersey-style Kickoff numerals for every score and stat, and the program’s navy, blue and red. Rock Solid, a motto from the program’s past, became the sign-off on everything.

Social Posters

One poster system carries a season, from match day to full time. Every poster speaks for the team: the final carries the scoreline and the goals, and leaves out what was done to them.
Four Montgomery County social posters: two match day schedules, the KHSSCA 10th Region preseason watch list and a 3 - 0 full-time result
Full-time poster: Montgomery Co. 3, Bourbon Co. 0, with goals from Frye, Caldwell and Danner

Game-Day Console

One volunteer runs game day from a phone on the sideline: the clock, the lineup, goals, saves and corners. Each tap updates the website live, and when the final is confirmed the poster is ready to post.
Three phones running the game-day console: lineup entry, a live first-half scoreboard with stat counters, and a confirmed final with its poster
